OnMilwaukee.com is proud to be back in today's second annual "Freaky Fast 500" at Red Arrow Park, 920 N. Water St.
From noon to 1 p.m., representatives from Milwaukee-area companies will go head-to-head in a relay race featuring Big Wheels and Jimmy John's sandwiches all while wearing Halloween costumes.
Cramer-Krasselt will be back to defend its title, but teams from last year's race, as well as debuting companies, are up for the challenge to knock C-K off track this year and claim victory.
Each company has aligned with a charity of its choice (Big Brothers Big Sisters is our choice) and pledged a $500 donation. Jimmy John's is matching each donation, and the winning team's charity will receive the entire pool of money. The winning team also will receive a free catered meal from Jimmy John's each month for a year.
Good luck to the OnMilwaukee.com team of John Hyland, Jason McDowell, Kurt Beneker, Bobby Tanzilo and Nick Barth and, of course, to all the other teams!
I'll update this blog later today with the results.
