The Lakefront Development Advisory Commission meets Monday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. in the pavilion under Lake Park Bistro to approve a new Bradford Beach water park that OnMilwaukee.com first told you about in May 2005.
"We hope to receive our first formal approval for our project after a year and a half of work. Then we're off to the County Board Committee on Parks, Energy and Environment," said organizer Deborah Lukovich.
The project has more than 500 petition signatures in support of the water garden and the same number on its e-mail list. And, according to Lukovich, "a couple people have come forward to oppose our water garden project."
The general public is invited to attend Monday's meeting. OnMilwaukee.com's Jeff Sherman is part of the team supporting this proposal.
