What is a blog? For us it is a short blurb that we write when the mood strikes us. It can be first person, funny or informative. In short, a blog is whatever we want it to be. Published June 3, 2008 at 12:57 p.m.

I have a feeling it will be an exciting week. In the next seven days, I predict a bunch of stuff will happen. Here, in order, is what I'm hoping for the most:

  1. A 3G iPhone launches at WWDC on June 9: I'm rooting for 3G, GPS, videoconferencing, Flash compatibility, cut-and-paste, more memory and a $200 price tag. If that all happens, I'll buy one the day it goes on sale.
  2. Hillary Clinton drops out of the race: I'm soooo tired of watching her megalomaniacal exploits. Hang it up, already.
  3. Prince Fielder goes on a home run binge: This may have already started, but I look for it to continue and ignite the rest of the offense.
  4. Gas prices go either radically up or down: Obviously, I'm hoping for a drop, but a huge increase seems to be the only thing to get law and carmakers to react.
  5. The IRS mails my tax refund check: Waiting patiently is getting old.
  6. A hot and rain-free day to drive my '75 MGB to work: Because summer is better with the top down.
  7. A hotter and guaranteed rain-free day to drive my scooter to work: Because summer is even better on two wheels.
  8. The Cubs lose a bunch of games: It's time to knock those lovable losers off their high horse.
  9. Time Warner puts out an upgrade to its Navigator software: Everyone liked the way it worked before, now it's clunky and unintuitive.
  10. Something opens on the Marquette Interchange: Probably a long-shot, but I heard it was ahead of schedule.
