Since demand for Schlitz in a bottle has outpaced supply it's good news to hear that the company brings back the vintage brew on tap this month. The old formula first appeared in bottles in Milwaukee earlier this summer.
Milwaukee's editorial department picked Schlitz over Pabst in a Milwaukee Challenge in July.
According to a statement from Schlitz, "The demand for Schlitz brown bottles has outpaced production, and sales have outperformed projections by as much as 100% in Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Chicago."
Milwaukee area bar patrons can expect to locate the new beer by looking for the "Golden Classic Tap Knob." According to the statement, "The tap is part of the 'Grand Baroque Collection,' an iconic symbol of Schlitz. The Grand Baroque Collection was the most ornate and highest quality point of sale materials ever released by the brewery."
