Later this month, the building that houses Tutto at 1033 N. Old World 3rd St. will be complete.
The building that houses three floors of apartments and Tutto Restaurant on the first floor will welcome another addition to the street's night life scene, Notte Nite Lounge.
Notte, (pronounced no-tay) means night in Italian and, like Tutto, was designed by Sharon Celek of Celek Interiors.
"When we first started, the concept of the club, Notte, was darkness. We wanted a dark club, where your eyes needed to adjust to the low light levels,"said Celek.
"The walls are shades of black with hues of blue and green to help differentiate them from one another. The lighting is all concealed to give of warm pockets of glowing light against golden glass accents. There will be two bars and plenty of seating throughout the club to accommodate private parties of all sizes."
There won't be a specific dress code at Notte, but owners say to "plan on dressing to impress," because the door will host two security guards and a fashion cop, of sorts.
"We went to the hottest clubs and lounges all over the United States, and one things was for sure, it didn't matter who you were or who you were with, if you didn't look good, you weren't getting in," said partner Giuseppe Safna. "You might be wearing tennis shoes, but if they're vintage pumas from Italy -- you're in!"
Notte, like most clubs, will feature DJs and VIP areas.
"We really listened to our friends, our guests at Tutto and people out on the town on what they were missing: good music, a place you can dance, drinks that aren't too expensive, just to name a few. So we created Notte to be just that," said partner Donato Salvo.
No specific opening date has been set, but Notte will only be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m.-close. The club will be available for private parties any day of the week.
