Dick's is ready to go on Milwaukee Street.

Milwaukee Street welcomes Dick's Pizza & Pleasure

Dick's Pizza & Pleasure, the newest addition to Milwaukee Street, opens this week at 730 N. Milwaukee St.

The three-level restaurant and bar is hitting the ground running with a grand opening party this Saturday, May 7, from 5 p.m. to close featuring music from DJ Rick Rude.

The pizza restaurant occupies the first level of the space. It features a simple menu, specializing in traditional coal-fired pizza, time-honored methods of dough and sausage production and ham curing, plus the use of local produce.

The nightlife crowd will have plenty of room for entertainment in the second- and third-level "pleasure" floors, which boast LED lighting, anime décor and a DJ booth positioned between two full bars. The second-floor VIP section is decked out with plasma TVs, and additional VIP seating on the third level also provides access to another full bar and a one-of-a-kind shot bar.

Dick's Pizza & Pleasure will cater to the lunch and dinner crowd in addition to late nights, and take-out will also be available.

My First time in Wisconsin on a business trip and a native milwaukee female friend (African American) decided to take me downtown Milwaukee around midnight. She spoke highly of a pizza place called "Dicks" I was very excited to go. Upon arriving i noticed that it was a small nice looking place, she walked up to i assumed a bouncer which suprised me because I thought it was a pizzeria. As I walked up to him he looked me in the eye and stated that my pants were to baggy then proceeded to look down at them. Now me being an african american i.t. tech visiting this city from Virginia with no intemidating looks or thuggery on the brain with a button up shirt and slim pants on due to the fact that Im slim myself was confused. As I proceeded to walked away my female friend tried to reason with the man stating that we didnt even drink liquor and was merely there to order a pizza even order and leave. he refused. Not the most appealing impression of a pizzeria highly talked of in the city of Milwaukee. I will absolutely never return and will warn others in my field visiting the city not to invest time or money in a business of the sort.

This place just does not make any business sense. It's a horrible concept to try and execute in this economy. The prices are high, the atmosphere is cold and uninviting. It many cases it feels like a copy of crisp on brady st. At least crisp feels like anybody can walk in though. You can't help but laugh at how absurd it is. A swanky pizza nightclub for yuppies.

The pizza was good. Not a fan of the decor. I think it's too sterile looking.

great, another milwaukee street yuppie club, just what this city needs.. went there last weekend only to realize theres a dress code to get pizza at night on the weekends.. all you drunk people looking for 4th meal better be wearing a suit. and good luck getting into the club, like all these clubs on milwaukee there are varying dress codes and entry times depending on if you know the right people... leave this place alone.. walk down the street and have a better time for 1/2 the price.

WOW! Sounds like someone needs some Dicks. I think this is a fabulous idea! I can't wait to try their pizza. I think it makes perfect sense to have a after-hours pizza spot on that side of town. Way to go Dicks! I will be visiting you for sure! :)
