    Nov. 24, 1917
    A bomb explodes in the Central Police Station at Broadway & Wells, killing nine policemen. Before the Sept. 11, 2001, the incident killed more law enforcement personnel than any other in U.S. history.

    One or two days off of work.

    Christmas is only a month away, and Hanukkah is even closer.
